Formed in 1994 with just one truck, a driver, foreman, receptionist and a passion for steel. Gerhard Kolesky’s determination and drive has forged GK Steel into a business currently operated by two generations with over 100 employees across multiple locations.

GK Steel is situated in the heart of Mpumalanga, allowing us to actively service the mining and agricultural sectors, with a second location opened in 2012 in Steelpoort, Limpopo, as we committed to exceeding our customers’ requirements for quality, service and delivery.

As your unrivalled steel supplier, we categorise our business into two main sections, steel trading and steel services such as cutting, bending and rolling. Our effective distribution channels, knowledgeable staff and logistical services successfully cater to the steel needs of mines and fabricators both across South Africa and internationally.

GK Steel take pride in serving our customers with an experienced drafting department able to assist with steel detailing from a drawing.  Samples measurements can be done from either on or offsite.
